LPC (Lazy Pinner’s Challenge) #1

Thanks so much to all of you who have participated in this last-minute, completely unorganized monthly challenge! Every weekend I say I’m going to finally do one of my projects I’ve pinned and sure enough, I don’t. Thanks for forcing me to actually complete something! 🙂

And without further ado, here are this month’s participants:

Jenn (from http://futurefords.wordpress.com/) wrote, “Here is my Pinterest inspiration. I am finally going to make some throw pillows for my couch. I’m so excited.”

Belle (from http://scrambled-eggs.org/) wrote, “I LOVE this idea! I just got a new Japanese sewing book and am needing some motivation to dig in. This is just perfect. My first Lazy Pin Project will be from a pattern I have had in my drawer for months now: the Amy Butler Barcelona skirt. Yay! Thanks for inspiring me!”

This week's pinterest challenge - the Bacelona skirt by Amy Butler. I think I'll make mine only 3 tiers and might add some fun trim.http://syzygyofme.blogspot.com/2011/11/amy-butler-barcelona-skirt.html

Izzy (from http://eggceptionalblues.wordpress.com/) wrote, “Here’s what I’m going to make for the pinterest challenge… I’ve been really into baking lately. Not sure why but I’m loving it 🙂

Danielle (from http://catchingourrainbow.wordpress.com/) wrote: “For the challenge, I was going to make pumpkin snickerdoodle cookies. I’m SO glad to have an excuse to make them :o)”

Pumpkin Snickerdoodles--I can't wait for fall and an excuse to make a bunch of pumpkin recipes! Too bad hubby doesn't like pumpkin...

AFM, I decided on a fun but useful idea that we desperately need right now. My husband is perfectly happy living in clutter and mess. But he likes clean. Weird. Anyway, I am terribly anal, but lazy. So most of our crazy fights begin from having a messy house and I go nuts because I can’t take it anymore. Add Clomid into the mix and let’s just say Hubster leaving his keys on the couch could be the end of our marriage. 😉 So when I came across this wonderfully simple, adorable and practical pin, I ached to make it. Now I will!!! 🙂

Next Thursday I’ll post everyone’s pictures of their completed projects and announce the category for next month’s challenge (as well as much better instructions!).

  • you want to participate
  • include your inspiration pin/pic
  • the link to where you found it
  • a little background on why you chose your project
  • your completed picture

And if you have any questions or want to see my pins, please feel free to email me!!! Thanks again and I look forward to DIYing with all of you. 🙂

  1. This is such a good idea! Challenges apparently get me very motivated! I’ve lost 3 pounds since Monday and I’m finally doing something that I pinned! Thanks for organizing 🙂

    • GREAT job!!!!!!!! I know, seeing my old weight was devastating enough to get me going harder this week! 😉 I’m glad I started this because my half-ass desire to start sewing is now more like motivated to start because of yours and Belle’s projects! Thanks to you too!
